FundiMtaani is solely a directory platform created to connect people with independent local service providers. We are not liable for any transactions, agreements, workmanship, damages, or disputes.
• Do NOT pay for unseen materials: Never give funds upfront for building or repair materials. Always accompany the fundi to purchase materials directly or inspect receipts and items on-site first.
• Inspect before payment: Always inspect and test all finished works before making final payments.
1. Directory Role & Limitation of Liability
FundiMtaani operates solely as a community connection directory. We are not an employer, contractor, broker, or guarantor of any services. We do not supervise, guarantee, or inspect individual jobs. By using this platform, you explicitly agree that FundiMtaani bears zero liability for any loss, damage, injury, substandard work, or financial losses resulting from private agreements between clients and artisans.
2. Direct Contracts & Anti-Prepayment Policy
All service contracts, quotes, guarantees, and payments are negotiated directly between the resident and the fundi. FundiMtaani does not collect client payments or hold middleman escrow. Under no circumstances should any user send advance deposits or prepay for unseen materials.
3. Safety & Verification Best Practices
While FundiMtaani conducts verification checks on listings, residents must exercise due diligence:
• Meet the craftsman in person at the property before agreeing on work.
• Request an itemized written quote with clear timelines.
• Purchase materials directly from reputable hardware stores or verify all store receipts.
• Inspect completed work thoroughly before finalizing payment.
4. Review Policy
Neighbour reviews must reflect genuine first-hand service experiences. Fraudulent, defamatory, or abusive submissions will be removed during administrative moderation.
5. Updates to Terms
We may update these terms as our platform evolves. Continued use of the website signifies acceptance of these guidelines.
